Performance Standards
This section contains tables of Performance Standards in Athletics, based on generic World Athletic and European Athletics seasonal Top Lists. The design of the Standards is based on an in depth analysis of how successful athletes perform against these standards.
These Tables of validated standards create an opportunity to :
- Identify the athletes at the ages U20 and U23 with validated probability to become successful at future global championships.
- Establish an age independent and clear hierarchy of all the athletes in a federation or in a team, based on their potential to become successful at future global championships.
- Use a universal, dynamic and flexible model of performance classification at every single age.
- Make strategic decisions on talent management and investment in high potentials more effective.
